The beginning of the end
of the beginning
is beginning.
The curtain call is coming.
The fall approaching
The darkened sky.
I am taken on high.
Raised above the flames
I sit upon the sky
Reading the pages of time.
Tiamat, rendered asunder!
Flying apart!
What is this vision?
Disturbing my labored existence,
It shakes the boundaries
Of my polluted mind.
Turning the pages,
Patterns emerge.
I learn from the ages.
All the while in vain.
Tiamat! Rendered asunder!
Flying apart!.
Every day up to this point
This entire journey
All the hard work I have done,
stifled by this revelation.
Every day to come
For the rest of my life,
Haunted by prophecy.
Withered and dead!!!
Drifting in silence...
Be Reborn!!!
Another world...
The macrocosmos,
Opening to me,
The pages becoming
A part of my soul.
What I will do
with this knowledge
Will change the dynamics
Of our world.
The beginning of the end
Of the beginning has begun
I was taken on high
Raised above the flames
I sat upon the sky
Reading the pages of time.
Tiamat! Rendered asunder!
Flying apart!
A massive collision,
Of my mind and my heart.

Blizzards At Sea
05:38
|
|||
I reached the docks at dawn.
Quiet precedes the storm.
Soon, I’ll travel forth,
Around the northern horn
Blizzards at sea!
Cannot stop me!
The stories that be, tell of
Blizzards at sea!
Mariners speak
To those who will listen.
The northern waters
Are too rough for men.
There is one man
Who can insure my passage.
His name is Ludd.
His vessel has no name.
Together we shall weather
The sheets of ice and wind,
The ocean frozen over,
The nights without end.
Blizzards at sea!
Cannot stop me!
Of Blizzards at sea!
The stories told me.
My reality
Is worse than the stories
Death, hail, and water
Threaten my body
I must survive,
Must carry on,
To rescue our very existence,
To live on in song!
We reached the docks at dawn
Dry ground I stepped upon.
I refreshed my body
And carried on.
If only I knew what was waiting…
Blizzards at sea!
Could not stop me!
Children will now tell the stories
Of Oneth at sea!
Mariners tell the tale
Of one who could not fail.
His destiny intertwined
With all mankind!
There is one man!
Who can save us all
From the bridge he did not fall
The ocean he enthralled!
As I left the Dockside Inn
I saw hidden, sidelong grins.
I feel the ambush coming.
With my next heartbeat,
They are upon me.
Outnumbered, I am
Beaten and detained.

In The Flesh
03:42
|
|||
Taken before the king
Found guilty of blasphemy
Sentenced to the Royale
No one escapes the pit of hell
The place they are taking me now
Is the stuff of legends
The elders said guardians, three,
Cover my exit
Guardians, represent the greatest fears of man,
Controlling concentric circles.
Wardens of hell, betrayers
Of the human condition.
The story of my journey through hell
Is too long, here to tell.
The focus of this story I tell now,
Is the god of the Fel!
In the Flesh! Zurhn, the betrayer!
A colossus impossible to best
Standing double my height
Brandishing a jagged bloody maul
“You have no chance..
Puny little man
No one can force my retreat!
I will crush you like the insect you are!”
He points with his giant finger at a ring fashioned in the shape of his head
“This, is the item you seek. But, you sha’n’t acquire it!”
Pride is his weakness.
During the combat, I insult his senses.
My size and strenth wear down his endurance.
My mind awaits the moment he is reckless.
I am Oneth, of Tel Anorath.
Many foes have blocked my path.
So many of those poor sad souls,
Flee so quickly at the loss of their toes!
In the flesh! I’ve severed his finger,
And taken his ring!
I escape through the portal
While great Zurhn is in pain!

Forest Of The Eggnuts
05:01
|
|||
From the ground, I emerge
A hero on this day.
For a time, my worries drift away.
The life in this place (is)
Abundant and pure,
untouched by poison hands.
Here, I met my mount,
My faithful steed,
Eating the seeds
Of strange winged trees.
The unifaun
Lack the finesse
To crack the hull
And not the seed.
In the forest, she came to me!
(Her) Blackened hair and spirit free!
She will see me to the end!
My Lath!
(Lath) had followed me
For quite some time,
Shadows between
My taunts and crooked vines.
Curious eyes
Had lust for piles
Of hulled eggnuts
I left behind.
In the forest, she came to me.
Her blackened hair and her spirit, free.
We will ride the tails of fate!
Forever!
In the forest, she came to me.
Her blackened hair and spirit, free.
She will see me to the end.
My Lath!
Our bond secured,
We travelled east.
The trees removed,
No more we feast.
From the trees, we emerge,
Victorious on this day.
Lath, my steed,
Carry me o’er the hills and plains.
A cloudy apparition
Follows as we flee,
In the sky, and gaining speed.
We, reach the impasse,
The canyon, “Grazt”.
A god descends.
Keeper of Solitude,
Dhara waits
For my next move.
I dismount Lath,
Approaching cautiously.
This should be good.

Lucid Reprieve
04:44
|
|||
Bits of unwanted reality
Stain, my subconscious.
Why?
What am I?
Who am I?
What am I for?
Waking nightmares, my life
A dream within a dream.
Is this real?
Or is it my insanity?
Constructs in the undergrowth
Give clues to conditions unknown.
Titans in the space below
Words I can willingly say.
My waking nightmare, a life
Dreaming within my dreams.
This is not real.
It must be my Lucid Reprieve
Titans in the space unknown
Converge as I face reality
Pictures of the world I know
Fade into obscurity
Wake from the night
Turning into day.
The world falls away
I remain alone
Shifting black sands
Reconcile the known
Limits of the universe.
Wings haunt respite
That once gave relief
I struggle with the
words she may speak
Twisted and marred
Striving toward the goal
Undaunted but shaken inside.
Bits of unwelcome reality,
Stains on my subconscious
Breaking the patterns that keep me
Sane, I’m unconscious.
The shadowed figure
Puts words in my mind.
Visions of wisdom untold
I regret my life.
This waking nightmare
Alive, but dying inside
My subconscious
Drowning in my Lucid Reprieve!!
Constructs in the undergrowth
Give clues to conditions unknown,
Titans and the space below
The words I can willingly say!
Why?
Where am I?
What am I?
Who am I?
What am I for?

Tactopods’ Advance
03:00
|
|||
Upon a barren plain,
Beings of blood and pain
Behave like rabid arthropods.
Infected with parasites
A grotesque and grisly sight.
Writhing, crawling, or stumbling hulks,
They consume each other and more,
Struggling to remain alive.
The megapeds stand in my way
Obstacles made up of pain
The tactopods on the horizon
Color the sky
Slashing away, we conquer
The fields of endless thrashing limbs.
Desolate minds that hunger
Feeling the wind of my blade.
Tactopods, gargantuan
Monstrosities, cover the land.
Gelatinous, they are impervious
To the slings and spears of men.
Produced by rapid extensive mutation
Sentient magnanimous undulation
Craving the tears of Lorath, the god
Speak to my thoughts, drive me mad!
The onslaught,
attempts to control my thoughts.
Futile regret filling their minds!
Tactopods reckon to my purpose.
They will join in my assault!
Tel Alorath! Be ready!
We’ve come to save you from yourself!
Creatures of Armageddon!
Join me in your approaching doom!
The tactopods have shown me
The evil nature of your ways.
We will smash your defenses
And lay your city to waste!
Tactopods, advance!

The Rememberers
04:29
|
|||
We remember
A fallen land,
A population,
Sworn to meet its end.
A revelation,
No end will come
For the chosen few,
Stolen away from harm.
These, our memories,
Ancestral past life dreams
Doomed our people to exile.
Seven warrior clans
Inhabit the poison land,
Forced to live outside the wall.
Our messiah
Riding a blackened beast.
Leading an army
Towards the city to the east.
We will join him.
The city will fall.
We will proudly
Reclaim our home inside the wall.
For hundreds of years
We endured the wrath of the Tear.
Our efforts will not be in vain.
On our enemies, we inflict our pain.
Over the walls! Over the parapets!
We shall take the fight to them!
Over the moat! Over the palisade!
Fill the streets with rivers of blood!
The hero of Norath, from a
Distant foreign land,
Told stories of struggle, torment,
And victory in the sand.
A dream had upended his
Entire world, forcing his hand
To travel over half of the planet
In defense of Man.
We dismember! We impale!
The twisted servants of the lord we asail.
We remember! We survive!
Passing on the memories of our ancient lives.
For hundreds of years
We endured the wrath of the Tear.
Our efforts shall not be in vain.
On our enemies we inflict our pain.
Over the walls! Over the parapets!
We have taken the fight to them!
Over the moat! Over the palisade!
Filled the streets with rivers of blood!
Fight!
Live!
Die!
Remember!

White Handle
03:12
|
|||
Breathing new life into the circle of death
The Rememberers killed them all.
They took back their homes
inside the wall.
Feigning my plight, I infiltrate the city.
Peasants and servants and me
walk the street.
The white handle! I seek the doorway!
As a means to avoiding the end.
Those who came with me
are fighting for justice.
I will soon be
fighting for life!
The future is moving,
Changing, yet empty.
The present is racing
Against time.
Blazing city in ruins,
I steal through the night.
Hidden objectives protected by darkness,
I take flight.
The white handle! I seek the doorway!
As a means to avoiding the end.
Two black candles burn
for the souls of the damned.
I hear them on the wind.
The white handle opens the door
To the portal between worlds.
Standing in an empty
bay of a ship,
Seated before me, the gods
I once worshiped.
My arrival no surprise to their eyes,
They have known all along
Every move I will make upon
leaving my home.

Denouement
04:20
|
|||
My time is come, I have arrived
In this place that I have feared.
My wits are knives cutting through
Everything that I thought I knew.
The old ones speak, dispelling lies.
They tell me why my people die.
Tell me why am I the one
Who must destroy his love.
Norath, my lord, rises from his gilded throne,
Approaching me as I regard my former home.
Into my hand he puts the scepter of command.
Say these words and your race will rise again.
With These Words! I have spoken.
I’ve accepted my place is not my own.
With These Words! I am broken.
No one remains. I’m alone.
I give the command!
The fleet responds to my voice!
War for this system is but a footnote
Lost to time.
The creation requires a sacrifice!
Lath! My people! My life!
Unsung heroes perish in fire!
Before my eyes the players dance
Bolts of light puncture the night.
There is no sound, only dust
Floating in empty darkness.
A wounded hulk loses control.
Abysmal darkened sphere of death
Collision with my curséd home
Brings the battle to a close
Far across oblivion in the
Distant molten sand,
The Flame of Norath emits its
Final golden strand.
Upon the stair of Lorath
loyal and keen,
Feral companion,
Lath, my steed!
My vision fades away.
I’m drifting like a stone
To the oasis that I
Used to call my home.
Infernal trial
Took away my sight.
I cannot look away from
Terrors in the night.
With These Words!
I have fallen.
With These Words!
I am buried, forgotten, in the sea.
With These Words!
So much has worsened.
With These Words!
A new low, I have achieved.
With These Words!
I wake up knowing.
With These Words!
Remember the nothing that is me!
