After his escape, he emerges from a cave south of Zurhn. A great forest lay between the plains of Zurhn and the swamp of Andhara. The trees bear fruit that resemble egg shaped nuts with wings. Many animals feed on the nuts. Oneth befriends a black quadruped he names, “Lath”. Lath resembles a horse crossed with a large dog. She agrees to be Oneth’s companion and he rides on her back as they continue eastward towards Tel Alorath.

untouched by poison hands.

Eating the seeds
Of strange winged trees.

We travelled east.
The trees removed,
No more we feast.

From the trees, we emerge,
Victorious on this day.
Lath, my steed,
Carry me o’er the hills and plains.
A cloudy apparition
Follows as we flee,
In the sky, and gaining speed.

We, reach the impasse,
The canyon, “Grazt”.
A god descends.
Keeper of Solitude,
Dhara waits
For my next move.
I dismount Lath,
Approaching cautiously.
This should be good.
